On behalf of BAM Elevate, I am thrilled to welcome Kristin Baker Spohn as a General Partner to the team. Kristin will focus on the Healthcare space, evaluating companies from the earliest product-market fit, all the way through IPO.
We were initially drawn to Kristin based on her accomplished track record, positive, engaging, and collaborative demeanor, extensive network and competitive fire. Kristin’s experience speaks for itself and is a strong fit with what we are building at BAM Elevate. Kristin has significant operating experience. She was an early executive at Castlight Health, joining at the seed-stage, and scaling all the way through IPO. Similarly, Kristin joined Collective Health at the seed-stage and helped scale the company through its growth phase. Most recently, Kristin gained extensive investing experience while General Partner at CRV, underwriting high-growth companies like Viz.ai and Modern Health. She has developed a high degree of founder empathy, having successfully scaled through all company phases, and she imparts this experience both with companies that she invests in, as well as the next generation of founders that she teaches as a Lecturer at Stanford Graduate School of Business. Her combination of operating and investing experience will be a tremendous asset and a strong complement to the BAM Elevate team. We know Kristin will fit right in at BAM, collaborating extensively with our public healthcare and data science teams, and further enhancing our unique value proposition to companies at the growth stage.
